Spring Chickens' Story

Meet the Spring Chickens! Every Spring baby chicks and ducklings are shipped to stores all over the country to be stacked in plastic bins and sold for their eggs or bodies. Many of them get sick along the way and die slow deaths in transit or at the stores. Our team begins checking local Tractor Supply Co. stores regularly to encourage management to surrender those that are dying to us so we can try and save their lives. Some will survive and live full lives here. Many won't make it because their little bodies are too far gone. The Spring Chickens are those who have made it and now get to live happy, health lives in a home among friends.
